Why get involved?
When I was diagnosed with PRP in late November 2012, I joined the PRP Support Group. While incapacitated by PRP (the period I call Hell & Agony), I devoured 29,000 emails in the PRPSG archive and harvested over 1,500 email addresses. I culled out over 500-plus that were undeliverable and began building the PRP Community Database. With the PRPSG languishing with the technology of 2005, I decided to fill a void and create two communication resources: (1) a newsletter (On the Road…Our Journey from Onset Through Remission) and (2) the PRP Survival Guide. The emergence of the PRP Facebook Support Group and the chattiness of fellow members has been inspirational. The need for communication within the PRP community continues…and my commitment continues as well
